Back in his first solo exhibition in 1999, he has attracted attention from international art dealers. He impressed the European and American art circles for his display in the 2000 International 20th Century Arts Fair, New York, USA, and therefore, entered into the international market. His display in OPENASIA 2004, the 7th International Exhibition of Sculptures and Installations in Venice also received wide praise. Li Chen can be regarded as one of the most outstanding Chinese sculptors at the present time. Until today, he has held exhibitions in New York, Chicago, Miami, Huston, Paris, London, Geneva, Venice, Shanghai, Beijing, Singapore, and Taipei, and his private and public collectors are from worldwide, such as President Jerry Sherlock of New York Film Academy, President Lincoln Boehm of Sterling Publishing, Swiss Olenska Foundation, Zendai Group (China), St. Regis Hotel, Kaohsiung Museum of Fine Arts of Taiwan.
